So I know I haven't written in a bit but I have been stuck indoors for a while with a bad stomach. I get a few hours where I feel ok so then I walk around the markets and such. AND I went to an astrologer-a really good one that everyone sees out here. He said some interesting things and I've been in a funk since. I'm going back next Fri to get some clarity then I will tell you what he said...so be patient!! Rishikesh is chaos in one word and I'm needing some quiet. I am looking to head north for a bit then back through Delhi then Mumbai to meet Shruti...can't wait to meet her fiance!! So my schedule has been lecture/yoga 8-10. Yoga 4-6. Lecture 6:30-8. The yoga is completley different than what I am used too but its good to change things up and not be so hard on my body. I feel kinda lazy actually. I met another girl from LA yesterday! Were staying at the same place too. Crazy!! In between I eat with friends I just met at the time, walk around, there are lots of nooks and crannies to investigate. Its kinda like Venice Italy but not, same same but different....:)
That's what every Indian says out here its hysterical, they sell T-shirts with that saying. Maybe I'll get my dad one:)
Hi Erin!
ReplyDeleteI just wrote you a note but Blogger deleted it on me. I just caught up on your blog, awesome! Sounds like you're having amazing adventures. I'm so glad you decided to take the plunge and give this gift to yourself. It sounds like you've gone through a ton of expansion already... and you still have tons more time there! I'm proud of you. I'm looking forward to reading more about your adventures. Keep blogging!!!

Erin---I love it all the whole adventure, girl i'm so awed but whatyour doing, and felt different emotions ...through your journey so far, but so glad your still smiling. Shurti told me part of the astrolger and i was cracking up, cant wait till you give the full details.....keep on doing it..and your writings are going to be a great trip down memory lane for you...xoxoxox love you...keep the blessings coming..
ReplyDeleteErin - Enjoy reading about your adventures!! Sounds like Rishikesh is a good place for you right now, but sorry about the stomach thing. Cipro is good, but even better and most simple I think is a Coke... I swear by it!?!
ReplyDeleteI was there at a similar time of year and your instincts and fellow travelers are right in suggesting to go north in search of cool and quiet. Options you will hear are McLeod Ganj (Upper Dharamsala) There, think about skipping the guest houses and walk and find a place to yourself at one of the farmhouses, the people are very sweet. or Vashisht (Manali) is also relatively quiet but I maybe to the wrong bus because getting there ended up being quite a hard day of travel. In Vashisht, the travelers stay amongst the local farmers and the hot spring temple there is truly magic!!
Where-ever you go, Have Fun!!
Stevo

ReplyDeleteRemember, every one's perspective is just that, a perspective. You choose what to believe, and don't let someone else's perspective put you in a funky. You rock E!!! love you...
